About us

We are a Brazilian couple currently living part-time in Snowmass Village and part time in Boulder, Colorado - United States. We met each other in Aspen in 2011 and got married in Brazil in May 2014. Our son, Kauan, came to this world in 2019.

We are passionate people! Passionate about sports, about nature, about water and snow… we are passionate about Life. We work hard and play hard.

After our wedding, we built a beautiful Geodesic Dome in South Brazil – at Recanto Pedra Maya. At the same time, we were renting and living in this 5 bedrooms Wood Cabin in Snowmass Village, where we turned into our first Airbnb - The Ski Country Chalet.
We started hosting guests in our properties, using Bed and Breakfast websites. In two years, the business showed its potential and our reviews were over the top. This was when we decided to create “Feel Good Rentals”, bringing meaning to all experiences our guests were having and will continue to have.

Today we have a solid Airbnb business, hosting in Colorado since 2014, in 2 different mountain chalets. At Recanto Pedra Maya, our peace of paradise in Brazil, we keep building, improving and adding eco-friendly cabin options.

About Mario

Mario is a Snowboard Champion, National and South American FIS 1st place titles. Mario used to go all around the world competing and training snowboard, in Big Air and Border Cross, then fell in love with Aspen/Snowmass and its people.

In 2008 Mario decided to live in the mountains full time and chose Aspen as his destination. He opened his own business, an Eco-Friendly Steam Car Wash – Eco Steam Wash, providing a great service to the local community. Mario is also a world-class ski/snowboard instructor, since 2000. He worked in many international ski resorts and developed a high level of customer service and interaction. He is fluent in English, Spanish and, Portuguese.

About Juliana

Juliana has a Hospitality and Tourism background, graduated from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora – Brazil. She has been in the hospitality industry for over 10 years and continues to work on improving her sense of detail and her passion for hosting.

Juliana has worked in Asia, the Caribbean, Brazil, and United States, in small luxury hotels and big all-inclusive resorts. She has been also in different departments, such as Housekeeping, Sales and Guests Services, with management experience since 2010. Juliana has a great clientele experience, hosting people from different parts of the Globe. She is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, French and English.

Our Green Initiatives

We try to be “green” as much as we can. Mario’s business, Eco Steam Wash, is a great example – detailing cars without water wasting.

The Eco-Friendly Dome in Brazil is our first “eco-home”. We use solar panels, biologic water filters, and we divide our trash between regular and recyclable. The house was built by locals and it has been kept by locals. The rental activity generates jobs and attracts tourism to Garopaba area – Our Dome is known as a unique Airbnb experience.

The Ski Country Chalet is an old wood cabin and needed a lot of renovation. We changed our heater system to a 95% efficient. We’ve also done Air Sealing all around the house, avoiding the heat lost and spending less energy. Our lamps were all changed to LED, helping reducing a lot the energy bill.

The Idea is to give back to Nature all she provides to us, as much as possible. We believe that little actions each day will generate a big change in the future.
